Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Rioghnach is responsible for all elements of service provision to HCI clients including process improvement, policy and procedure development Quality Management System development and regulatory/accreditation achievement. Rioghnach works with all levels of staff to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions which meet specific requirements. Rioghnach manages a team of health care professionals to provide high quality services to healthcare clients. Rioghnach ensures all needs of the service users are identified and implemented by staff and management in all healthcare organisations.
With a background in Nursing, Rioghnach has over 20 years’ experience working in the healthcare sector. Rioghnach has worked in a number of clinical and managerial settings and has a strong background in medical, surgical, and pre-operative assessment. In particular, her areas of expertise include Paediatric Intensive Care and workforce planning.
Rioghnach started her career as a staff nurse in Kings College, London and quickly progressed in the role of Junior Sister in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. She then went on work in the Middle East as Workforce Development Manager on a project, building a 400 bed hospital on Magnet Standards in Dubai.
Rioghnach was Service Line Co-coordinator of Paediatrics in the Beacon Hospital and then progressed into the development of the pre-operative assessment unit in the Beacon Hospital.
Rioghnach has a diploma in children’s nursing, a first class honours degree in nursing and a Masters in Healthcare Management from the RCSI
