Patient/Resident Involvement
Patient/Resident Involvement in Healthcare is, at its heart, about healthcare service providers and consumers becoming aware of each other's perspectives; about changes in service delivery; about good working relationships in which issues can be resolved; about sharing problems and finding lateral solutions; about developing better communication and respect for each other.
Health Care Informed (HCI) in collaboration with the Irish Society for Quality and Safety in Healthcare (ISQSH), have developed a free practical toolkit to assist in the creation of patient/resident involvement programmes. For more information click on Public & Patient Involvement in Healthcare Toolkit
HCI can assist organisations in managing their Patient/Resident Involvement programmes from strategy development to action. From the implementation of a baseline needs assessment to ongoing improvement, all aspects of an integrated plan can be supported and facilitated to ensure the use of best practice principles.
