"Now we're talking" - HCI & ISQSH practical toolkit for public and patient involvement in healthcare

Now We're Talking is a practical toolkit aimed at helping any healthcare professional who wishes to assess, implement and improve a programme of public and patient involvement in their organisation. Developed in conjunction with the Irish Society for Quality and Safety in Healthcare (ISQSH) the toolkit provides a framework and practical methodologies for developing patient partnerships. Tools and techniques covered include focus groups, patient diaries, surveys and expert patients. The need for health service staff to develop their skills in involving service users has been identified as a key goal in the HSE's 'National Strategy for Service User Involvement in the Irish Health Service' (2008).

You can download each section of the Toolkit by going to the 'Resources' link on this website.

HCI provides full support for organisations wishing to implementation of public and patient involvement programmes.
