HCI is delighted to announce the appointment of Clare Harney as Director of Digital Development. In this role Clare will work with HCI clients to help address the need to digitally transform the way health and social care currently manages all aspects of quality improvement, patient safety, and, the increasingly administrative heavy, regulatory compliance.

Clare is a national leader in the area of healthcare digital transformation, with a very specific focus on quality, safety and regulation. Clare has worked as Director of Digital Health Transformation across the public and private sectors with HealthTech Ireland Association, representing national and international Digital Health, Diagnostics and Medtech organisations. Clare is a Programme Director and Adjunct Faculty at the RCSI, leading out on the new innovative postgraduate diploma in Leading Digital Health Transformation.

Clare’s focus on quality, safety and regulation stems from her many years managing quality and information systems within acute care. Her work in the Health Information Directorate of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA), included the development of governance and quality standards.

Speaking about her appointment as Director of Digital Development at HCI, Clare said:

“I am delighted to join HCI as Director of Digital Development. HCI is an innovative company, continuously striving to support their clients in improving their processes around patient safety, quality improvement and regulatory compliance. I am keen to leverage my experience in healthcare digital transformation to support healthcare organisations in reducing the administrative burden of compliance, while ensuring a best in class quality and patient safety system.”

John Sweeney, CEO of HCI said:
